Demons versus Lumberjacks, an exciting match


The visiting team, the Demons, were furiously trying to mount a second-half attack against the potent Lumberjack defense, however the Lumberjacks managed to held the Demons at bay. In Detroit, Michigan, U.S college football coach, Bo Schembechler, died of a heart attack at age 77. Patriot League’s honorable mention goes to…

The Mountain Hawk honorable mention was awarded to freshman Brittany Thrurston, due to her recognizable efforts performed during her last 2 matches. She totaled 26 kills and 25 digs on those 2 games alone. The honorable mention was awarded last Monday, after the magnificent display she showed versus Army and Holy Cross.

Maryland’s basketball team shows potent offensive

An impressive offensive was displayed by the Maryland’s basketball team; this outstanding exhibition is what allowed the team to obtain a 93 - 54 victory over the Rattlers. What were their weapons? Shooting a 50 percent from the field, a 46 percent from the 3 point range, and 24 assists.

West Virginia, back on its feet

It is outstanding to witness how fast West Virginia can score. Just take a look at Steve Slaton and Pat White while they manufacture amazing plays, you will notice the quickness with which West Virginia can place some points in the score board. After its first loss, West Virginia almost doubled the score over Cincinnati last Saturday.

After an exciting and filled with emotion match against Kent State, Virginia Tech is now the proud representative of number 19 in the Associated Press college football poll. It will be interesting to find out how far this team can go after all the improvement they have shown lately. After all, blanking Kent State is quite an accomplishment.

Georgia tech, the 18th ranked team in the college football division is set to match against Duke, one of the ore fierce teams in the league. The game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. This is going t0 be a non-televised game which is going to be the final game of the season at grant field which is where 50% of the games they win are played.

At north Carolina, the yellow jackets have won all 7 games at that point. It is interesting to see of they are going to win the this up and coming battle to the death between these 2 teams.

Mammoth Victory Over Monmouth - Tigers Win 77-65


James Mays, the lead scorer in the basketball game between Clemson and Monmouth. Scoring 18 points to put he tigers over the top created a hug upset driving the crowed crazy as he scored basket after basket in the first half.

The game was held in by Cox Communication in the game they sponsor. One fine day for a basketball game viewing the beautiful court designed to help the team increase in spirit and win more games for Clemson University.

Clemson came out of the gate with a 12-5 lead that clenched any ideas of Monmouth taking home the gold this time around. The physiology of it all was too much to bear watching one player after another miss simple shots normally achievable with ease.
Perhaps next time the outsiders will have better luck in someone Else's territory.

First Game Of The Season, Duke Against Columbia

After a long off season, Duke is finally ready to get back into the game. This has been a long awaited season and the players are fired up and ready to get back into the action.

There first tip off will be against Columbia who is known to start every basketball season strong and not relent until later in the season.

Gators Destroy Northwood. 71- 41

The University of Florida's mens basketball began the new basketball season with a bang as they beat the first team they cam across.

All of this due to the new player Junior forward who defeated them with 11 points in the beginning of the first quarter ending the rest of the game.

The game was controled the entire time by Florida but was then tied during the final quarter until they won.

On Saturday, November 11, Duke is scheduled to become victim to these monsters. We will see who will come out victorious in this great battle.

Saturday, November 18, Maryland is scheduled to play Boston. This is a very long anticipated game that will result in very interesting defencive plays because both of these teams have very powerful D teams that can't be stopped, making for very interesting games.
